You got an advisory for a wheel bearing a year ago and you're still using the same one?

if you have an advisory from a year ago and not done anything about it, then i wouldn't bother checking anything, sounds like you will only be up for kicking the tyres anyway.

just put it in for mot and see what they advise, you always get a free retest

in the small print it does say free if left there and they do the work, if you take the car and do the work yourself they can charge you a partial fee, but most places don't, they didn't with the escort and the retest was quite a lot of things to check

depends whos doing it tbh. some will let you take it away and fix it but you have a to pay a small fee to have it retested others you can do it for free. Depends who does it.

if its repaired and retested within 10 working days by the garage that tested it then its a free retest

if its taken away and brought back within 10 working days then they can charge up to half the full test fee
