Went to Rome over the weekend, awful awful weather, so struggled with the pictures! But here's a few anyway. (Have done them in a seperate thread as they're more to show what's in Rome, than to be C & C'd, did the best I could with no tripod and shocking weather!)

erm, the stuff you'd think would be nice... is nice....

The architechture, the main tourist points.

BUT

It's incredibly expensive, especially with the Euro being pretty much 1:1 now, we had a lunch, 2 hamburgers and chips (very italian I know) 2 cokes and a garlic bread, came to near enough £70!

It's quite scummy as well, graffiti everywhere, not good stuff either, just random crap, quite dirty, badly lit.

In conclusion, the tourist stuff is great, the rest is pretty horrible! Easy to get around everywhere and the metro was quite cheap though!

Room we stayed in was very nice, and a great location.

3rd pic is Victor Manuel II museum, (I think) we went in through a side entrance, came out the front and saw that, simply amazing looking place, the scale of it was crazy!

Any, Rome is a very cool place. RE it being a dump in some spots, you get that most places. I bet the Francesco isn't bad either
