Ridiculous. What's the point in a squad if you're going to get fined when changing the team. If they are going to do this then the PL may as well just say you can only have a squad of 15 or whatever

I'm 100% behind Holloway on this. The FA and PL are fucking cunts and should fucking shut up.

Hollaway is a legend. With a good team, I seriously think he'd win something.

Completely agree with Holloway.

But the PL set a precedent when fining wolves last year about it, so they either have to keep up with that, or be sensible and back down over it.

Wonder whether they'd of investigated if blackpool or won even.

I want to know who decides what his best team is. What's the point in being the manager if someone else clearly knows better?

PL may as well pick the teams if they are going to be like this.

They won't back down because of Wolves last season which was ridiculous as well.

This has been a piece of shit 'rule' since it was brought in, some fatcat wanker sitting in an office drinking red wine and smoking cigars doesn't have the ability to choose the best team in a particular game mainy because they are a fatcat wanker and not a football manager.

If they got smashed out of the park I'd be less raged. But they didn't, they lost 3-2 away at Villa ffs.

It was brought in so that the end of the season when top teams are playing games which could affect relegation, so don't field weakened teams, which kinda makes sense, but this isn't one of those circumstances

If this is the case, then why isn't Fergie/Wenger/Ancelotti being fined for fielding kids in the Carling Cup?

One rule for one?

Cup game doesn't affect other teams...

Being knocked out of a cup doesn't give an advantage to another team as dropping 3 points on purpose would.

i can see the sense in it, but unless you have already won the league, making sure you get 3 points is more of an aim than resting players id have thought.

i agree with holloway, but also agree with the FA in the wolves situation

two completely different reasons imo, holloway changed his team round and didnt say anything, just did it, that to me is squad rotation

Mccarthy openly admitted he was playing all his reserves because they were never gonna win at old trafford so concentrate on the weekend

bu again mccarthy was playing to his strengths. no point risking the bigger players in a game he was never going to get anything from. theyt survived. perhaps thats one of the reasons etc etc.

Agreed, not like they got turned over is it? They were seconds away from a well earnt point and from what I saw had plenty of chances too.
