Do 2 litre brakes fit behind standard corsa alloys? Think they're 14 inch, cant be sure though.

There looks like theres only a few millimeters to spare with the standard brakes, but ive heard 2 litre brakes are still possible.....?

Thanks guys, Phil.

Wrong they fit behind steelies as well as long as there 14".

I have 14" steel wheels on mine with the 2.0l 256mm setup.

Ive just had a second look at my standard alloys and they are 14inch but there is literally only a few mils between the caliper and the alloy, are you guys absoltely sure 2 litre brakes will fit? I just dont see how they could! But you guys know better than me!

Aren't they actually the same size? Just that the valvers disks are thicker and the calliper is a bit longer?

Same size as the brakes on a 1.6 Sport, yes.

They are thicker, as you've said, but take up the same diameter as the standard brakes, so will definitely fit.

Oh right thanks that clears things up a bit. So if the 2 litre brakes are only 4mil thinker, how exactly are they so much better?? Sorry if its a daft question.

I'm not sure if the caliper pistons might be different as well, but if it's just the discs then a thicker disc would mean better cooling = better braking.

It must be something to do with the caliper because I know the difference between standard and 2 litre and it cant all be down to heat.

This tbh, V6s are the way forward.

edit, just remembered it's for 14s, V6s won't do then so ignore that
