a brand new company car, what would you get?

The only thing is it has to be a 5 door. And obviously no special-editions.

I'm after something that doesn't look much, but is quick-as-a-bastard, like the Laguna V6 we have at the moment.

Well, I say me, I mean my Dad

If it's available in a 5-door, then a Focus ST-170.

It depends how you justify a special-edition.

Well...he was kinda looking at sub 7secs like he has atm

He's only allowed the standard stuff, so the model with as much extras is the best.

Why did they have to update the Laguna

The thing is with the ST is its fairly quick in a straight line, but on fast twisty corners, nothing touches it.

Better off not getting a company car for tax reason, Alot of people at work are going for cash alternatives and pay increases instead.

Other than that go for an audi SFI engine car, low CO2 emmisssions mean lower tax bracket.
