General information -
1989 mk2 ford fiesta in red. ideal base for a project as is a decent shell as its rare to find one not played about thats not rotten through...
Bought as a project and got other things to do first and don't want to see it waste away.
Outside - Clean shell with the normal places having NO rust - boot floor, front turrets etc. Small repairs on the rear sill/arch that could do with being done properly but nothing that stands out or major compared to most. Sweet as a nut underneath. Few parking dents etc here and there and paintwork is ok - will come up nice with a polish. Has been de bumpered and someone has painted the front valance black for some reason (easily covered by a bumper again or painted back red). Just needs a good polish up and tidy up.
Inside - Interior/dash good and most will clean up to be mint. Has drivers seat wear but black seat covers on all 4 seats so looks clean as a wistle. All electrical bits work.
Engine - 1.1 Xflow engine. Starts on the first turn everytime and pretty smooth sounding. manual choke and works perfectly. Nippy for a 1.1 suprisingly.
The rest - Orignal wheels with original wheel trims etc. Tyres all ok and hold air and no major problems. Brakes will need bleeding as have got air in them but all working once bled.
basically starts, runs, drives and is a perfect base for a bigger engine/xr2 rep or even as a good start to a nice original example. Once given a bit of a TLC cant see why it wouldnt pass an MOT with no worries Has even been stored inside out of the weather untill a few days ago.
Was going to paint the bottom half satin black all around and slam it on 7j pepperpots if it gives anyone any ideas and still will if i find some come up cheap then keep it...
