all these mods make fuck all difference on n/a cars, even remaps,

my 106 gti with a 4-2-1 manifold, induction kit, and Dastek unichip made 7 bhp, even the guys at the place who fitted it said it wont make much difference to bhp will just make it a bit more drivable and iron out any flat spots

You need to change the cams on an n/a if you're going to get anywhere. But then you open up a whole can of worms.

i believe a little tuning on a large NA engine does give more performance, its just very expensive for small gains

in a way i agree that its not worth it, i could spend £750-900 on an inlet manifold, but doubt its worth while for the measly difference

I agree and disagree.

For example the Corsa D 1.4 16v Z14XEP engine, I have the 90bhp version, Vauxhall have updated the software and the car now makes 100bhp, I can download this map from a tuner.

Some instances there is room for improvement, the 1.2 16v Corsa D with full Piper system including manifold with 100 Cell sports CAT went from 76bhp to 92bhp.

Some cars do respond to light tuning, look at Gavins VTS, when he had that on the rollers that only had light mods and it made 140bhp.
