effectively the same thing.

I'd say its worth buying. Reason is, that the 16xe inlet is designed like that to reduce power because it was destined to be almost 20xe power and vaux couldnt have a small block putting out the same power as thier allmighty redtop could they!

Not exactly bolt off/on but can be done DIY easy enough.

Re-map is not nessacery, no.
