I have myself a new track car
For those that don't know, after a trip to Oulton Park a couple of weeks back I had an unexpected rendezvous with an armco barrier resulting in mainly cosmetic damage with a side of broken steering
No fear, with a bit of time and effort it could be ready to go back on track again, but then the legend that is Tom Simes came forward to offer his old shell complete with X16XE engine
Ian very kindly offered to collect the shell for me and a plan was quickly hatched so this morning we set off for South Wales and after a nice cup of tea and a chat with Tom we returned with this little beasty
It's now been dropped off at its new temporary home (thanks to Ste W and Ian) where my 1.2 will soon be joining it and then the work can begin, I might even have to get a new project thread on the go
So once again, big thanks to Tom, Ian and Ste and hopefully you may well be seeing it at a race track near you in the not too distant future

Doesn't have to be a shitter, just not your main commute.

Yeah, Polar Sea Blue with chalkboard paint bonnet and soon to have a black bootlid and either an unpainted pre 97 front or a black post 97 with crash damage, we'll have to see what I decide on.
It does need a respray tho, I'm not homophobic but having 'man love rules' down the side of it doesn't sit too comfortably

Yeah, tracking your main commute isn't a great idea, this is the voice of experience speaking I won't be doing it again, it's much better to be able to guarantee having something to drive home at the end of the day

I've a works van for the commute. It's not really something i want to be using during the summer evenings and weekends though

And here is the original thread from where it got vandalised 3 years ago:
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=385300
But none of that matters now anyway, Mike is going to have plenty of fun with it, and that's what matters!
