i had the s drives on at a track day last month. found them superb in all honesty for a cheapish regular road tyre. think they were under 32 each fitted.

The originals were slightly better and the rallye 500's equally good, but I wouldnt buy anything else apart from the rainsports (of course apart from this time because I had too)

Are you having a laugh?? Its a day and night difference in the performance of these two tyres! In the wet and dry you have FAR more superior traction with the s-drive compared to the NS2. NS2's are known as ditch finders for a reason! (and yes I have used both tyres)

Did you have them on your V6 Astra too??

I found them awesome in the dry, very grippy.Didnt have issues with them in the wet either.

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Nankang/NS2.htm

random peoples views on nankangs. they are a lower end budget tyre. if you just drive in a town and sit in traffic all day, be fine. if you drive a car that has to navigate bends over 5mph, id rather mould my own tyres from frozen piss.

those are my own views from my own experiences of nankang ns-2.

how long ago did you have your astra v6? and how long did you test the s drives out to compare them to the nankangs out of interest?

Had Astra about 5 yrs ago.Werent back to back tested.Just remembered over the years what tyres ive been happy with etc.Had the S Drives on XE Corsa, didnt like them.Too slidey and span up to easy.Changed wheels to MO's which came fitted with a Toyo and a Nankang and felt like a different car.Much more grip.
