I love the 16XE series engine, I don't think I've ever had one that runs right 
This one loves to misfire-kangaroo when warm, no EML light but EML is plugged in as it comes on when you start the car.
CTS?
Idle control valve?
Lucky I have thousands of spares.

mine did this was a bad earth the earth on the engine block was my problem took it off wire brush back on job done no trougle since

Mine does the waaaay too much, i'd love to know whats wrong with mine as well, just don't have the money to keep changing different bits to find the problem

Not CTS, I unplugged it at lunch and it's still doing it and it's now thrown up a EML.
It's burning oil as it stinks, next up is EGR valve and throttle body as there is no EML light which makes me think the EGR is fooked.
That's a weekend job though taking inlet manifold off.

I've blanked my EGR valve off but mine still kangaroos and the EML occasionally comes on after a while still. Reckon it could be the coil pack, but i need to do my valve stem seals as well as its burning oil pretty badly

Its headgasket IMO, just double checking before I get Warren to do it. Fucking useless these engines.

Luckily i've already done my headgasket about 3k miles ago, so i'm ruling that one out on mine. It's been a pain in the arse ever since i bought it
