Nope, it's 130 but you have to buy £10 airtime, if you need it unlocked though you are up to £160 so 180 isn't bad for an unlocked one.

I ditched the Orange sim card, got a unlock code for £3 and then went over to GiffGaff - £10 for 250mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data (true unlimited data, no FUP).
Also got rid of the default Orange Android install, which is bloated to hell and replaced it with Froyo. Loads of info on the Modaco forums - http://android.modaco.com/category/453/zte-blade-blade-modaco-com/
The only downsides to the phone is the camera, it really is shit, and the construction which is a little bit Hong Kong eBay special (which is where the wildfire beats it). But under a £100 it's the best phone going!
Also Play.com are the cheapest place to get the San Fran (ZTE Blade), Orange themselves charge £120 (£100 for the phone, compulsory £20 top up).

Yes, there are about 5/6 roms available for it, including a 2.2 Froyo. Although Froyo still has a handful of bugs (Radio not working correctly, few issues with GPS, Dialer app raping the battery) as they aren't working from source (hopefully it'll be released soon as it's availabe in China on the ZTE Blade). Saying that Alpha 2 was released yesterday which apparently fixes a few bugs, yet to try it though.
And as said, check out the Modaco forums as there is loads of info about changing ROMs etc and they (Paul and co) are actively developing ROMs for the the phone.

I love the way people "have" to have the latest phones and consume the latest gadgets.
Me, I've just bought a HTC wildfire, cost £180 although it's for sale elsewhere at £140..I did lust an iPhone as most people have these but I didn't want to get one just because everyone else has one and I also didn't want to support apple. My phone is more than appropriate for my needs. It's pretty good but I would not reccommend it.
The android OS is brilliant and I cannot fault it.
The phone's battery life lasts 1-2 days and the resolution of the phone is poor, it's quite..sharp.
Great phone elsewise. But don't get this one. I'd also not reccommend any sony erricson products as I had a really bad experience with them. I was on contract with a new phone, used it 3-4 months, paying my contract, then it stopped working, did some research and found this was a common problem with the model, contacted people I had contract with and they said take it up with sony erricson, cant remember if I ever did but I refused to pay my contract for a phone I couldnt use and I'm now in debt.
Anyway, sony erricson mobiles promise more than they can deliver, as far as I know they still have not released a patch for the phone and 2-4 months into the phones life, it will die. I cannot un-reccommend them enough. The attraction of the mobiles is appealing but the reliability is not good in my experience and from what I've heard..it's pretty much ripping people off.

He's not upset that his old dear is using a 3 year old phone, it's more of the case that he's stuck for ideas what to get her for xmas and thought about replacing her mobile (this is all in the first post!). So i have no idea what you are jabbering on about!
Jas get it done, will make a decent pressie and upgrade for her. Just a note, cases are pretty rare for the phone although Nokia E71 and E72 cases and skins do fit but require a little cutting around the camera, headphone and USB socket.
