Its probably because man u have spent years trying to get other clubs from not singing a certain chant at man u .... they now have to come down on their own fans.

Tbh the northern monkey's at OT can sing what they like. Pretty sure Wenger doesn't give a shit.
But then Utd can't complain if the Munich songs are sung at OT. But they do.

A harmless song about a ridiculous rumour is not comparable to a lot of highly skilled and young men losing their lives in a tragic accident.

How are they? Is wenger actually a paedophile? No. Therefore its just a harmless chant that he can take no notice of as he knows its not true.
They Munich disaster did happen, and real people lost their lives. Its like singing about Hillsborough at Liverpool, is that just another chant and you would expect them to not get fucked off about it?

"I think it's very welcome but I wouldn't be too confident it will stop. I think it's been sung so long and so often at Old Trafford that people have become desensitised to it. It's just another song, so they don't think about what it means. When you see kids eagerly joining in a song, alongside parents who have brought them to the game, about someone being a paedophile then there's something really wrong.
He added: "It'd be great if United fans didn't sing it anymore and, given the trophy count over the last few seasons, it's not as if they'd be short of material for a replacement song."

Still cant believe you are comparing a joke chant to The Munich air tragedy
There are certain things you can get away with singing at football matches, this is not one of them. I know Leeds fans still sing about Munich and them have the audacity to complain when Utd retaliate with songs about Turkey where the Leeds fans got killed, thats comparable.
Wenger looking like a peado isnt. He's not going to get arrested for it is he? Nor does it impact on his life in anyway.

It was removed from the Ibrox songsheet for the addition of 'Fuck the Pope and the IRA' not because singing it makes Ibrox sound like a gay bar. Your club was fined for it by Uefa after the Osasuna game years ago.
I see absolutely no problem with the banter chants, it's the political and religious stuff that should be removed from football not banter.
