Right as above it's for me, and no I dont want to straight swap etc .

Reason is my car went with a bang on Sunday night and haven't got the paitence to sort it out (think it's the gearbox/drive-shafts) as it still starts up and sounds like a tank. So what I'm looking for is a nice 5dr hatchback 1L-1.3L engine so it's cheap to run. I have seen a 60 plate Aygo for Ł6995 but it's a bit too high for me as I'd either get it finance or loan (depends which turns out cheapest in the long run).

Summary:

Looking for a newish car (will go no less than a 53 plate)
1L-1.3L
5door
Prefer Auto
Any Colour.

Go.

7 grand on an Aygo, sheesh.

If it's just to get you from A to B just get something older and reliable, spend the rest on luxury items.

If you're looking at up to Ł7000 why not look at diesel Minis?

I wasn't considering a Aygol I put that wrong sorry, It's jsut that my grandparents (who I live with) picked their new car up on the Monday and saw that, I did have a think about it but it's too much money for that sort of car.

When you say 'something fun' Danny what sort of thing are you thinking about?

@alan: What's the smallest engine Mini do in the diesel. I hadn't considered a ini tbh, because I'm not that fond of them, but I haven't took one for a test drive as of yet, so that might change my mind.
