just got a new cooker delivered today and ive noticed that the cooker and the gas pipe that connects to it both have a male connection which means they wont connect together thought i would need to get a different pipe but they are all the same so what i need is a connector that is female - female so both pipes can be screwed into it if you get what i mean ive llod ev erywhere

the bacl of your cooker will be a 3/4" BSP thread that you screw a cooker hose into
on the wall you should have a bayonet fitting that that the other end of the cooker hose pushes on to and locks on when turned

Spoke to him last night, hes got a 1/2" BSP male thread on the back of his cooker (I think thats what he said
)

Ive not seen a cooker hose with a female 1/2 thread though? feel free to correct me
Think its a 1/2 bsp iron coupler he wants anyway and/or a gas safe plumber.

Cheers Harris i did manage to sort it yesterday managed to get a coupler all this hassle for a bloody £1.66 part

what have you sealed the threaded joints with? you tested it?

had a plumber come round and sort it matt one of the guyswork with is out of plumbing work right now so is just doing whatevr he can for now so he came and sorted it and yes he is gas safe
