Ordered some GAZ coilovers from CorbyMotorsport but when Pickford got back to me the same day I tried to get back to them cancel it the same day, the fuckwits didn't answer the phone for 2 days until Rach finally got hold of them yesterday some random woman answered the phone.

Anyway I get back into work today to see an email from them saying they will refund me in full but

"We will cancel under our standard terms of business which can be found on
our website."

Which is basically a 15% charge now I know they don't stock the coilovers and that the order hasn't even been processed.

Is there a way around it? It was paid on a credit card as well so extra cover there.

Load of crap... you can cancel.

Tell them due to distance selling regulations you have 14 days to cancel under any reason AND they cannot charge you a fee to "restock"!!

Money has been taken from credit card already, what they are saying is illegal and they won't be getting away with refunding me anything other than the full amount.

They didn't answer the phone for 2 days which is disgusting customer service and that included the two mobile numbers on their website.

they are in the wrong - we have a policy that is similar in my business, but it is to protect us if someone orders something that takes a month or two to arrive, and after a month and a half they cancel the order - we then have to cancel our special order with the supplier which costs us money so we charge the customer a 15% cancellation fee.

It shouldnt be used to rob someone of money two days after they order because you wont pick up the phone to deal with them..... even with our terms and conditions a customer could contest it and go to small claims but they almost certainly wouldnt win as it is a reasonable policy that we enforce - what they are saying to you is not reasonable and you would win if you contested it ..... they should just refund the whole amount or they are a very shabby company - just hassle them to fuck and tell them you re a well known poster on forums that would hurt there reputation - threaten trading standards ect - cant belive they will try and stand by this for very long

way iv dealt with problem companies is to ask them nicely first. If no joy contact t.s. log the case and get a ref number. Quote the ref number to the company and state they have asked you to contact once more and if you give an unfavourable reply t.s. will be taking up the matter. This has worked EVERY time for me.

Yep - this works - if you sound organised and like you are in it fr the long run - they normally give up, I know I do with customers- if it doesnt seem worth the hasle then you might as well just give in even if you think your in the right. You really shouldnt need to do this here though - the customer service is so bad in this case they should be bending over backwards to help you

ROLMFAO

"Oliver,

I have reviewed this email trail between yourself and my staff.

We will refund in full as we do not want further correspondence with you
as you appear quite rude, not the sort of customer we have built our
business upon.

How exactly was I going to react to it though? Honestly fucking helmets.

I order something at lunchtime, than try to cancel it in the afternoon but nobody answers the phone for two days then for me to be told I'm going to get charged £75.00 for the pleasure.
