I opened up my internet banking today to find im down £3400.
i logged in two days ago to find lloyds tsb wanted to be a recipient (they explained why but cant remember), so i accepted it, got the phonecall from an automated number to type in the 4digit code and that was it. today i noticed 4k had been taken out of my savings accounts and put into my current account. 3.4k of that was then withdrawn by "LLOYDS TSB" - I never initiated any of those actions.went in today and apparently there is a virus knocking about that can do this. everything seemed legit. I never clicked a link from an email i used the same link ive used for the years which directs me to lloyds home page.
summary. use your virus scanner, and dont be a twat

I dont use internet banking, I get blag emails every few days from my 'bank' which is usually a bank I'm not with, saying we need your account details as your online account has been compromised, you need to confirm a few details for us
The scary thing is though a lot of people must fall for it.
Hope you get your money back asap.

Go and punch your computer Jake. With your strength you will most definitley send a shockwave through the internet to the hackers' face.

This is why the net and your bank accounts shouldn't mix.

I gave up on Internet banking, pain in the arse to use! And I always end up forgetting the stupid passwords
Only thing I deal with online is my credit card but that's because they're purely online.

Not sure I could live without internet banking, do you guys only have 1 bank account?
But the message rings true that you've always got to be careful and never let someone else set something up for you, do it yourself so you know and check it as often as you can to notice the early signs of something going wrong

-.- you'll probably get it refunded but learn to be more vigilant. I'm currently using no AV or firewall (other than my router) because I don't download much and what I do, I can verify it's genuine. Also if you don't use a better browser than internet explorer you're already at great risk. There are all types of browsers, firefox being the most used, google chrome, opera and more..
I've not used chrome but I've heard it's good. I use firefox.

good if you work normal hours and have the patience to listen to some retarded fuck trying to sell you home insurance or credit cards.
i do all my banking online and it's quick and simple.
only click things you're sure about and if you aren't sending anyone money or no one is sending you any, you don't need to click anything.
