Why is it everyones mission on this board to try to put donw 106 gtis/Punto Turbos? it seems everyone is desperatly trying to prove sumthing.

I never slag nebody elses car off.

At the end of the day the 106 is a good all round performance car, nobodys saying its fuking rapid its just a good performing well handling modern supermini. So why is it everyones intention to call them, rust buckets, piles of poo, slow, badly built, all of the above and more, what have i, other gti owners and other punto owners done to make everyone so abusive towards these cars?

All iv done is stated mods, 1/4 mile times and posted power graphs, i have not called nebody elses motor slow, crap, or rusty, ppl spend a lot of money on there cars its the 2nd biggest thing they'l ever invest in so why slate them off???

Steve u thinking of lowering ur car? think the wheels would look better lowered? also i like 106's defo gona get a different make after the corsa, when i've got a few years ncd under me belt!! Corsa look well nice modded but gonna want somit faster in a couple of years

I think that's a fair point Steve, and I admit that my post late last night was a bit harsh. But if you look at some of the other posts, I think you'll see that there are plenty of other derogatory posts about Corsas posted by owners of other makes - and this is a Corsa site, so some reaction is going to be inevitable.

i think 106 gti's are great little cars, especially the interior. I'd get one streight away if i sold my vaux.

Just because they're interested in Corsa's doesn't mean they have to be completely oblivious to any other make of vehicle and find themselves unable to appreciate them for the target market.

The same people also feel that they've stumbled onto some amazing little supercar fettled out by a couple of Spaniards, only to have an Opel, Vauxhall or Holden badge slapped on at the end.

The best bit is that the same people slag off the Corsa A.
