hi all, his is my 1st time buying a private plate and i want to keep it for life basically so want it to relate to my name but on the dvla website i just cant seem to find anything that relates to my name or looks good.
anything that looks like dan,danny,dixon,DLD. with number 91 or 02 in it.
im willing to pay upto 350(not alot i know but saving for a new car)
so where do all yous get yours from
my mates mam picked up j66tuk (june 1966 tuck) and s66tuk(steven 1966 tuck) for 250 each.
thats perfect i cant find anything like that

I got mine off DVLA. F1 2NDY - £600
It was the only one on there at the time what looked like Andy.

im called dixon by my close mates. dicko by a few or danny by my family
iv found 1 but it looks like a normal plate
DD 02 DXN
DANIEL DIXON 02(YEAR UNCLE DIED) DIXON for 250 so might get that this week id i cant find a better 1

remember your car needs to be 02 plate or newer to use that plate

That just looks like a normal plate to me, unsure why you are wanting the year your uncle has died on it aswell. Im sure you can be imaginative and fine one close to danny or dixon.

i know it does but its pretty close. i didnt want the year my uncle died its just that was the 1st one, so if people asked what the 02 stood for that would be why.
there is none close to danny or dixon

IMO people shouldnt need to ask what the plate stands for. It should read something out straight away. Just keep looking and trying different options.

i want B6 YGD as those are mine and my girlfriends initals, but no one else would know that unless they knew me.

b19 dld has caught my eye (big daniel lee dixon)

im on the dvla site.
iv found 1 im over the moon with
d12xxn (my bday is the 12th of a month) and it nearlly says dixon. its £499. does this mean the plate can go straight on the car or do i have to pay fees etc?

See I look at that and think it says Dixon, good work.
Whatever the price on the DVLA site is the price you pay to get it on the car

Yeah, you buy the plate online, they send you paperwork then you send logbook and stuff back and they put the plate on the car. You'll then get a letter saying you can make the plates and put them on the car, then the new logbook with the new plate details comes in the post.
