Won't take off. Not in towns anyways. Pubs are struggling enough without having the cost of the fancy glasses.
Will be good for festivals etc though.

Wetherspoons are far from struggling.

quote: This would be a fantastic addition to English pubs, where the 19 and 20-year old bartenders lack motivation and brains to the extent that one pint a minute is a miracle, and then the glass will be half-filled with foam. And that’s if you can get their attention to begin with.

They are not meant to be re-used so them getting fucked over time isn't an issue. It a great idea for sports events and concerts etc but most pubs don't need them really.

Can imagine the likes of my mates pushing the bottom of the glass up to empty other people's pints onto their shoes tbh...

Wetherspoons are far from struggling.
Actually wetherspoons only survives on credit, whilst they are a multimillion pound company with a huge turnover their cashflow is extremly tight.
We were shown their accounts figures during a seminar a little while back.

Someone will complain about the fact its not a simple task to recycle the plastic cups because of the metal (magnet) content.

This the same with most massive companies, they survive on credit or factoring.. Thats why a MASSIVE firm can go bust when a load of its customers dont pay their invoices. I bet their board and share holders get MASSIVE sallaries and as long as that continues they probably couldnt give a shit because if it all goes tits up its a LTD company and they can sit in their massive houses not giving a shit

The magnet is removable and will have adverts to cover costs. Looks a good idea, as said though not 100% needed in pubs. Need them at footy grounds, I thought it was murder getting a pint at spurs then I went to wembley and it was shocking.

Yeah would be good in places like football stadiums or at gigs. Basically anywhere with big crowds.
In a nice local pub though I'd rather wait a little bit longer and have a nice traditional pint glass.

Whats wrong with the beer taps that fill the pint from the bottom that already exist and dont need any special 'glass' ?
