And was 'greeted' by a man saying, and i quote, "You need to watch your car" .
He said it in quiet a serious mannor which left me looking like this , i asked "why?"
He said "when you come into the car park, you didnt sit and let the car idle for 30 secs"
And with amazement, i said 'so'?
And he was going on about how it will fuck me turbo up blah blah blah.
I hadnt boost it once all journey for the 10 miles i had driven, with it all being 30 and 40 mph limits whilst never going over 2000 rpm. I pulled in the spot, stopped. Got my phone and wallet, then turned the car off. WTF
Does anyone else thinks this is abit rude? Im quite a whitty cunt when needed, but i just didnt know what to say. I was so shocked. I thought he must of clocked what i looked like, then proceeded to walk around the hypermarket looking for me! Does anyone else thinks this is wierd? It was like he was giving me a bollocking. Even his own girlfriend said 'shut up and come on'
Anyone else had an experience like this?

btw ill never let it idle for no reasons. I start it in morning morning, drive straight off but just really steady for the first 3 miles or so (all 30 zones), and i just drive it really steady the last mile or so on the way home!

Car will be fine.
He was probably either just being nice or trying to be a hero.
Either way I wouldn't worry about it

I found it more offensive as i like to think im abit of a petrol nut, and really look after my cars.
He told me he had one aswell, and he knows about how unrealible the renault turbos are.
Being a meganesport memeber, i havent heard of anybody saying 'blown turbo' , and i would like to think i look after mine better than joe average.

me and my mate met a wanker along these lines before, my mate bought a k plate mk1 citi golf and as its a south african import and has 5 doors the guy stood in the middle of the street telling my mate it was a ringer and that it could in no way be a k plate 5 door mk1 golf then proceeded to shout over a police man to point this out to them as well lol

Should have told him you took the turbo off before you came out because you didnt have time to sit in a car park waiting for it to cool
