Is it any good??

Asda's have the 5w30 SS stuff that i need for 11quid.

ECP also stock it so im thinking it cant be that bad.But you never know so thought i would ask 1st.

cheap asda oil is just as good as halfords cheap oil but only cheaper lol

Its for a Ford Puma 1.7 VCT.Its whats recommended for the engine.

Its not Asda's own brand oil tho Mark.

They were selling Castrol GTX for 10quid too but didnt have any 5w30.

Its only recommended because thats what they used for emissions testing.. 10w40 would be safer.

Really Davey??I always thought the Zetec's needed the thinner stuff.If what your saying is true i will be right back through for the Castrol stuff.

Not sure what the deal is with castrol these days but it used to be rammed with detergent not really good for older engines.. Cheaper stuff tends to have less additives in it and is better for older engines.

Ford have recommended 5w30 semi on pretty much every engine they made for about the last million years. Id stick to that but going to a 10 wont make any difference.
