Went in on Boxing day to maybe pickup a Bluray or two as a treat - and couldn't find one for under £21.
No wonder they can't sell anything...

Went to buy a PS3 there a couple of weeks ago, walked in, got the ticket from the shelf and went to pay to be told it would have to go on back order - why have the tickets to buy them on the shelf then
Went next door to Game and got one there

They should group Waterstones and HMW into 1 store, they obviously can't cope with them seperately any more.
The amount of stuff we delivered from Amazon this year, i'm not suprised they had a poor xmas tbh.

tbh they are retarded any way, their shops charge a dam site more than their site do and the sites have free delievery why would i pay more to go to the shop myself when i can pay less and get it delivered straight to me?
also for some unknown reason i get 10% off on their site whenever i buy anything

Sometimes they have good deals on, also a traditionalist i like to be able to walk in and pick up things and loook at them before i buy (DVD/BD etc not cds as can listne online)
play.com is all very well and good but if you want it there and then it may as well not exist.
But the obvious reason is supermarkets selling chart items (more buying power and sometimes sell at a loss to get you into stores etc) and if its not urgent online is 500x cheaper on most things

People shop online more and more, so no suprise stores have to close. Also i do agree that the way stores are positioned is retarted... several shops with same products.Majority of People will go where it is cheaper...
Also where i live we have 3 or 4 postcard shops all withing 1 minute walk of each other :S

Very rarely do I buy from them, I managed to get American Dad! Season 5 for £15 which IMO is a steal but other than that I cant remember what I last bought.
'Sales' are just an excuse to offload shit Christmas DVDs for £3 each or 4 for £11.50
Just use Amazon for CDs + DVDS and Game for, erm, games

I find its too busy and rampacked with people all the time so I dont go. I prefer to research what I want to buy using a video review on my sofa and then pay for it without having to queue up behind some fat smelly guy or while little old Doris finds that last penny in her purse to make the total come to the exact amount. And free delivery to my door.
My alternative is to drive 5 miles, pay to park or park another 2 miles away from the store for free, walk there, have to manouvre around said fat smelly people and kids congregating in the aisles cos theyve got nowhere better to be while I try and find what I want to then pay more for it
