I'm beginning to think he is ducking the Klitschko brothers. And retiring at 31 thinking he is some sort of great? Ducking many a fight me thinks.

Haye isnt a great fighter in the grand scheme of things .... but he is in another league from either of those klitschkos from what I have seen of them. I honestly think he would destroy both of them - I can see why they dont want to fight Haye, I dont see why Haye would duck a massive pay cheque and a fight he can win. Im sure they are trying to get a fight set up in germany with a ref of their choice - that has been a big part of their success. Haye clearly wants to fight them in a fair fight - I really dont rate either of them as boxers, they have just about managed to dominate a very poor weight division - Haye is far beyond anyone they have fought in recent years

Its crap for the sport though - they should have to fight each other - obviously some shady stuff going on behind the scenes, just dont understand why boxing has not got a set structure put in place for who fights who next

I know what I would do if I was as confident and cocky as him and that would be delay retirement for a few months or a year till I had fought one/both of them. Does look like he doesn't want to fight him otherwise

Not easy fighting above your weight at heavyweight class either - you will not be able to do it for ever without seriously hurting yourself.

He has had some hard scraps before he made it as a champion - think he feels he can do very well out of pr, management ect ect if he gets in young enough .... he is mates with lots of famous and influencial people, he has big earning potential outside the ring - I can see why he wants to get out early on top

There isnt really anyone in the division for him to fight either - the Klitschkos are the best of a very bad bunch - although there are a couple of young English/US fighters who would argue otherwise

I have a sneaky suspision he will delay retirement if a klitschko fight can be arranged though

The Klitschko's are absolute cunts to deal with, they live in a fantasy land.

Haye clearly wants a big year before he retires and they're being deliberately obtuse. Pair of fannies.

Agree - The pair of them seem to think they are the two biggest sports stars on the planet.

From what has been leaked out it appears that the Klitschkos want a fight in germany with a certain referee in charge ... that is a recipe for haye to get his pants pulled down - they have done it before.

I agree that they are also ducking. But retiring at 31 tells me he is scared of something.

wlad agreed on a 50-50 split then insisted a load more demands be met, like the fight be in germany and german doctors judge the cuts. These were not met

It's because of the constantly conflicting interests of the main bodies that run the game.. The "main" ones WBO, WBC, IBF WBA and then the rest (several)...
To put it into context, it's like having FIFA, The World Football Association, The World Soccer Committee and The International Football Association of the World - each having control of different football nations and then trying to persuade Spain in FIFA to play Brazil in WSC at a neutral venue for money that suits everyone, then trying to decide which body the ref comes from... etc etc etc It would be a nightmare!

And boxing has to deal with this all the time... Add in greed, stubbornness and egos and you almost get the perfect storm for a sport with potential, but too many snouts in the trough to be sufficiently, sensibley organised..

Thats why boxing is a joke and why it'll NEVER realise it's potential... Unless some billionaire comes in and centralises a pay structure and signs people up for some sort WWE type deal ( I realsie WWE isn't like boxing but the portrayed system of WWE could work)...
