It's taken 8 days for me to find out via the news that Dick Winters died on the 2nd January but news of Victoria Beckhams pregnancy is front page news.

its not the medias fault they just run with whatever will be most popular with the public, its the publics mindless interest in this bullshit thats the problem

I was only introduced to Band of Brothers last Christmas, but I love it.

I havd The Pacific to watch which I got this Christmas but there is something stopping me watching it as I don't want to ruin thoughts on BoB.

The Pacific is good. A little sentimental but it's filmed from an angle to try and get you to see the human side of war and who these people where and not just on the battlefield. It deals with the issues they took home with them too. It's exceedingly well done, however not as gritty as BOB which of course everyone compares it too even though they are comparing army to marines and two completely different thwarted of war.

I'm not saying everyone should like it, but it's not just a shoot em up.
