where is the cheapest place to get hold of a good quality kit with slim ballasts,
looked on ebay about £50 can anyone do any better?

also what colour looks best?

You can get the cheap ones from Diane-shop but its your pot luck if they last. Mine didnt and I was dicked about for 2 months and lost £120 in the process

Go for either 4300k which is very bright white or 6000k which is a slight blue tinge. The higher the number the bluer/purpley the light output.
