You can gain the looks by going with small alloys.

the latest euro cars are running on big rims anyway, have the best of both worlds and get some 17" deep dish rims.

yeah but small wheels define whether its Euro styling or not, since it is the most defining point of any car. Jap cars typically have large wheels.
