Lou Reed - Transformer, the whole album's pretty much excellent.

Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street, Queen Greatest Hits 1+2 and Micheal Jackson Number 1s.

Alabama 3 - La Peste is an ok album but has a couple of belters of songs. Namely a cover of Hotel California that's almost better than the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p7yyjzgn18 and Cocaine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r4qBkozGqU&feature=related are both brilliant songs on a good hi-fi.

Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight, Tears in Heaven, Cocaine and Layla are all great songs as well.

Beatles No.1s is an album to download and INXX - Beautiful girl is another amazing tune.
Sorry I can't help with the newish stuff but my dad's got me into all sorts of old shit by constantly playing it my whole life.
