my flight from aus stops in singapore and i want to tae advantage of the cheap tobacco available. question is how much can i bring into the UK?

also i cant stash 1000g's in my suitcase cus i cant get to it so i need the realistic amount that will go in my hand luggage. i saw something that said 250g but that doesnt sound enough since it comes in 500g bundles!
