What mods have people done to this engine in the past? In case you do not know, the C14SE is the 1.4i 8v 82bhp engine that is fitted to some Corsa SRi's and Astra's.
I have the same engine but in an Astra, and I was wondering if 100bhp+ is achievable with a few trick engine mods like cam, gas flowed/ported head, chip, etc. and if anyone has done these mods, whether there were any problems encountered, that kind of thing.
Apparently this engine has a Lotus tuned head
Cheers,
Sam

Go for a performance cam, manifold+ full exhaust+ sportscat/de-cat, pullys?

1-1.5 sec quicker to 60 by removing the back seat and spare,i dont think so.
Maybe 0.1 - 0.15 sec quicker.

maybe 95bhp if you are lucky. Why does everyone think BHP is the be-all and end-all of engine capability? Think of the torque for christs sake!!!

IF you can get a manifold made up, it shouldne be too hard to adapt throttle bodies made for a 1.4 16v to fit on. Or at least i dont think it would be You'd proberbly need a new Engine management, but most people use one when they install the SBD kit anyway

bhp is a calculated figure you get from the amount of torque
