had this loads of times. usually the day after i've had a load of alcohol. so thats quite a lot of days.
never thought it would be common so cheers for that!
the first few times i had it i was in a bit of a panic. its been going on that long now that i kind of figured out that it was because i was on my back so now i sleep on my side.

This sometimes happens when I'm semi-concious. Quite scary really.

Yeah you wake up and you know you're awake but you can't move, you have to really work hard to move, sometimes you can't breath either.

A girl I know that talks a power of shite sometimes said about both of these happening to her. Ok, believable I thought. But then she went on to say that her sister claims she woke up one night floating about 2 feet above her bed. There are cases of people claiming this happened but tbh the whole family are a bunch of attention seekers. Probably seen it on one of these strange but true type programmes and thought 'I'll claim that happened to me for a bit of comotion.'
The only thing I get like this is where I feel like I'm just about to go off to sleep and have a semi-concious 'dream' like I'm walking along. Then I'll trip, get to about 2 inches from smacking my face off the ground then wake up with a startle it feels weird as fuck

So I start to tell her 'Aye, very good' and she claims her sister can swear on her life blah blah. I left it, if she wants to believe in such pish she can.

I very often wake up with a jolt, most of the time for no apparent reason.

danny, my girlfriend had that happen to her one night in my old house.
she insisted it was a ghost.
she said she could see everything in the room but couldn't move anything and couldn't speak.
is that normal then?

This happens to me a lot recently, wake up, can't move and it's normally clothes on the chair that I for some reason think is somebody standing there.
Shits you right up until you can move and realise it's nothing.
