Bumped in to a mate today who was talking to me about doing a half marathon for charity. I'm just getting back in to exercising but was never really a running fiend, well, ever.
What sort of training regime would one need to follow?
I'm quite interested but aware it's not going to be easy or sure if I have enough prep time. Just did a 25min fatburn run on the tread at a solid 10km/h and did 4.5km including cool down walk, I reckon slowing down a bit I could obviously go for longer but what's a respectable pace? If i do it, I'm not doing it to waddle along at the back!

I did one a couple of years ago. Started training at the start of Jan and struggled to do a couple of miles. Went out 4 times a week and upped it by a mile per week. Ended up running the half marathon in Mid-March in 1hr 45 mins.
I think I'm going to start training again as I'd like to do it in 1hr 30 mins.
