My astra alternator died and battery obviously went flat so have now lost the code, anyone know where I can get a free radio code or the cheapest out there?

Google search, I found a forum that, providing it was the right radio they could give you the code free.

Not a CD one is it? Nobody seems to be able to uncode them

A mate's dad works for a recovery company and they can do it for £15 iirc.

It's s standard VDO CDR500 cd player. Google brings up
loades but nothing really that straight forward.

I have the tape one with cd changer in the glove box. Comes up SAFE since i had the battery off doing the headgasket

yeah i got that one.. removed it, extra space in glove box, fitted cd500 in.. but found a nokia car kit speaker in there.. donno what its for mind..lol

Twiggy : if you want to remove it, you need to unscrew the glove box, and 4 other screws,

gona ring up on monday, vauxhall and see if they will give me it through work, may get it free or if not dont mind paying £10 unless anyone can do it for cheaper i have all codes i can supply.
