Hi.
I live in a low TV signal area (in a vally)
Thinking about fitting an aerial to my chimney stack, has anyone done so?.
or is it a job best left for the pro's?
What would be the best way to split it off to different rooms?.
Ideally 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs rooms.
Do i need permission from my neighbor (semi detached/ shared chimney stack)
cheers.

I'm 99% sure you don't NEED permission from your neighbour so long as you are doing it on your half of the chimney, but it only takes 2 minutes to let them know so you might as well.
As for the other questions, I've no idea

Think you should ask as most brackets are lashed around the whole stack with wire rope.
Id leave it to a pro unless you have a signal meter, serious amount of fucking about otherwise.

Yip, that and somebody keeping their eye on the TV, don't need a signal meter, same as you don't for a sky dish.

Sky box dont update quick enough to position a sky dish. Far far far easier with a tester!

normal aerial i agree
sky dish waste of time doing it like that
also remember the aerial cant be much higher than the highest point of the building
