mmmmm Believe me, i know (long long long long story) that not all 1.0l 12V's have the required wiring in the loom. Only way to really find out is to check the connector plug which joins to the back of they clocks. If there is a green wire, then your in luck, if there isnt then it requires a tad bit more work. Gimme a shout and let me know if you have or not, and i'll give you a step by step on it. Ina generous mood 2day!

Because some corsas (most of them) come with the ECU in the right foot kickpanel. However, some DONT. On my ecotec engine as with one other corsa that i know of does not have an ECU in that panel, and can only be found on the inlet manifold in the engine bay.
All 12V ecotec engines have this "ecu" on their inlet manifold. Its just a matter of whether you have it in the kickpanel or not.
So basically, if yours does not have the wiring in the loom. You need to run a wire from the rev counter to the ECU.
And believe me, its a hell of a lot easier to wire up to the kickpanel than the ECU found in the engine bay.

i got a corsa club 1.0 12v and thats got a rev counter as well. If not, just get an external dash rev counter from halfords, and use that...about 25-30 qid, and about 10 quid for a decent mounting pod, gives instructions too.

remember that a rev counter out of a 4cylinder corsa wont work, since the 12v are 3 cylinders.
