As a second car we're thinking of getting a smart car. The car will be used to travel to and from work 5 days a week, around 60 miles a day. These cars are known for being great city cars, but I'm unsure of how they'll cope doing around 45-50 motorway miles a day.....or how my girlfriend would cope in it.

Does anyone know about them, or have any experience of them on long journeys/motorways?

Thanks

I see them nearly every day on motorways, not keen on the looks myself, but to be fair as a car i think they would make a brilliant daily drive

they are great for commutes etc, my step dad uses his every day for work and thats a 50 mile round trip, only £20 to fill the tank and can easily do 200 miles to that and he has a heavy right foot.

TBH if i didnt need space for my son in a car aswell at the min i was considering selling up and getting one
