i know quite a few of you guys have been to america...me and my gf are planning on going in july! where going for 10 days staying in LA doing the usual sightseeing and going to las vages!

i was just wondering do you need to get visa's sorted as ive seen on some sites about getting a visa! but nothing was said when booking it!if so wheres the best place to get them and how much we looking at paying?

where booking it through virgin and get car rental included so if you recommend any places to go that would be great!

its going to awesome its something we've always wanted to do and were going to make the most of it!

any help would be great! thanks

you will need an ESTA to travel to the US https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov You are option 1 , UK has Visa Waiver .

What n16k said is what you need

I did Vegas then la in 2009. Awesome awesome time. Wanted to spend more time in Vegas though as I'm not really the sight seeing type. Except a helicopter flight over the grand canyon and Hoover dam.
Go to universal studios in la. Tis a good day out.
Also Santa monica is a good beach with plenty of eye candy
when in Vegas do as much as possible and try not to sleep too much or when you leave you will feel like you haven't done enough.

LA is a shithole. Fucking dump. Vegas and phoenix are cool as is San Francisco.

cheers for the help...how much does that visa cost?

where stopping in newport beach (orange county) where going to vages for 2 days so should get quite alot done there!!

yeah la is just basically london but hotter and with a nice beach
stick to the wealthier parts and main roads and you wont get shot

my mrs sorted out the visa so i dont know how much it is, although £14 or £28 rings a bell

john you'll need a visa for usa not just california/nevada
