A guy is coming to see the BMW today.

He's got a Clio 172 which has been fitted with LPG that he wants to swap.

I have no knowledge of LPG.

Whats the pro's & con's.

And if i dislike it whats involved in removal ?

I know the Clio is in need of the bottom gearbox mount & a speed sensor (Common faults)

Never been a Renault fan, but given that i dont my apprenticeship with Renault it'd be a great advantage to ownership of one.

I am aware they are fantastic handling & pretty quick.

Any other input?

Cheers

You can switch between LPG or petrol. If you dont like driving on LPG then just dont use it. I dont know whats involved in removing as i think they drill the inlet manifold to get the gas injectors in.

Plus LPG is cheaper

Do they run big tanks etc??

How heavy are they??Cant see it doing to many favours to the handling if its a lot of extra weight.

Yeah, thats why i'm asking about removal, because TBH for all the driving i do i dont really give a shit about petrol prices.

If i'm lucky i'll fling £20 in my car on a Friday night, see who's about town, have a play then when it comes to Monday again it sits all week, although this may change when i start working again.

Think its remove the condensor, A new inlet manifold, removal of the tank and lines and on some cars they have a map on the ECU to help them run to ther optimum.

Could be done in a day if you know what you are looking for.
