I had a none-fault claim last January after a guy ran into my parked car, which was at the time, parked on my Ex Girlfriend's driveway. He slid in the snow, out of a junction, across the road, over the pavement and into my car. I was fast asleep in bed at the time!
Now, question - why is my insurance going up because of this?
I have used comparison sites and my insurers and had quotes with and without the none-fault accident and there's a difference of about £100+
Why should I be penalised for someone else's mistake when I had zero blame?

because according to insurance companys if you have been involved in one accident, you are more likely to be involved in another...

you must be on special downs syndrome insurance then as i've had 3 non fault accidents and all of them have increased my premium with churchill, elephant, admiral, greenlight and every other insurance company i've done a quote with.
it's all a con to get more money out of you.
in lee's case, how is someone sliding into him in adverse weather conditions while he was in bed sleeping going to increase the chance of him having another accident?

Did you claim off the 3rd partys insurance directly? If so dont bother mentioning it.

direct line here, never had a rise, even asked them before the claims if it would affect it and they said no, and it never actually did.
those companies you list, i wouldnt class as decent insurers anyway, mickey mouse jobs imo. Get what you pay for.

direct line is the lowest of the low, keep getting stupid leaflets through the door from them every week. piss take.
greenlight insurance is a specialist broker for performance cars and were considerably cheaper than any other company for my focus. wouldn't call them mickey mouse jobs at all.

Rich I have been crashed into twice last year, in the space of 3months. I was stationary in both events in traffic. Because of this ludicrous amount of bad luck, my insurance is now ridiculously high. I'm paying what I paid for the M3 on a Clio.
I have 9yrs NCB and have never been in a RTA that was my fault.

I think I'll be moving to Admiral; they were the cheapest on Confused and also the only ones who didn't change prices with the non-fault claim listed.
So infuriated with it though! I still might rant at my current insurers

I've had two none fault crashes and they were putting the quotes up £400 I didn't declare them in the end. Why should I fork out when they weren't even my fault?

Admiral seem to be pumping out the best quotes for car insurance these days.
Im with Admiral and ive read quite a few threads on here and other forums about Admiral being the cheapest.

Have you checked its due to the accident its going up?
Its nothing to do with the insurance bumping prices up e.t.c?
Just an idea.

Thats harsh,
Its not even like it could've been a bit your fault, or anything you could've done to stop it, you weren't even in the car!

precisely, it wasn't even on the road! I just think its a joke that I'm classed as higher risk than previously because of it

I'll cancel my policy and get the FSA involved, or the ombudsman if mine goes up by a penny.

They quoted me a realy good deal but then would not insure me as id not owned a "high performance" car for 12 months or longer.
I ended up staying with direct line.
