Why do you need to remove the fish to clean the tank? Did you use to do that with your old tank?

ask in the shop. we set ours at 24degrees.
i think mattk is confusing tropical fish with marine fish.

You don't ever take all the water out, you just do partial water changes. Inbetween that you can get the algae scrapers to clean glass and the vaccuum pumps to clean gravel

are them vaccum pump things the ones you suck on to get the flow going, and are the algae the things that go on the windows

Yes to the vacuum pump. Algae grows on any surface in a fish tank but most obviously the glass, if that is what you mean.
