Test drove it on Monday and loved it everything felt right so left a deposit ad collected the car this morning and im very happy with it,feels solid and is very comfortable to drive compared to my B.

Its a 1.6T 1 owner from new 33.6k on the clock full service history in great condition only a couple of little marks.

Needs a proper clean which intend to if it doesn't rain tomorrow.

Dont have any plans for the car really apart from i might lower it but not certain yet as i dont want to ruin the ride quality as its really smooth and copes with the crap British roads well.

No Colin not the same engine as the corsa vxr but its 178bhp to be exact.

Very nice! Always liked Mk5 SRi's, hope the payment for the inlet gives you enough petrol money to keep you going a couple weeks ! All the same good choice, are you selling the corsa then? Or have i missed something

The money off the inlet paid for my insurance deposit mate the mk5 really is a beautiful car with the xp kit.

Still got the corsa which i plan on keeping as a project/weekend toy because i dont wanna see it getting thrashed about by someone else and for what id get for it if i sold it, its worth more to me sentimental value.

Ah awesome glad to hear it came in handy ! Must admit XP kits make them, without they dont look half what they should be, nearly got a 1.9 150 with an XP kit but i just cant justify the costs atm . Glad to hear your keeping hold of the corsa, hadnt seen any updates on it for a while so werent sure what was happening with it...

Totally agree,i wouldn't own a one without the xp kit.

The 1.9cdti is suppose to be a cracking engine apart from a few common faults, the 1.6T do have there own faults but its just like every other car.

Have not done anything else to the corsa for a while hence no updates but have a couple little plans for her over the next couple months and will update my project thread once the changes are made plus having a second car gives me the time to do things without worrying about getting it back on the road in time to use it to get to work & back.

Yeah definately ... Yeah i know of a few underlying faults on them, but what do you expect its a fiat engine lol, just a bloody quick one ! But the 1.6T's i havent heard of too many silly things, only when they've started fiddling with them and upping power. But standard ive yet to hear anything... Good to hear i look forward to some updates, but i know exactly where your coming from having two cars makes it so much easier !

Yeah the main problem on the 1.6T is piston 4 like vxr/sri's but thats more prone to happening when the engine is mapped which i dont plan on doing at all.might just buy a performance panel filter n thats it

Surprised people have not said i should of went for a vxr instead but when people see a vxr they know what performance the car is but with the 5dr they wont be 100% sure what it is.Plus i wanted a 5dr with xp kit.

There really nice to drive arn't they scoob?

Yep i now think there was something up with that vxr John for the way it performed. The astra feels so much better and is much more comfortable and usable than the corsa vxr.

Looks very nice. I think the interior of these cars lets them down.

i had the 1.8 petrol 3 door and i was only getting around 28mpg in town, aparantly these are much better on juice.

i had eibach lowering springs on mine 50/30 the ride was improved and it made the astra handle like it should of done out the factory.
