Watching this now, haven't ever before so don't have a clue what's going on. Seems to be the most stop start game ever. What's the need for all the protective gear, how is it any different to rugby?

It's stop-start so they can fit more adverts in
Difference between this and rugby is this is a collision sport where as rugby is a tackling sport

Long is anything further than 10. Could be 14 yards, could be 44
