can you get away with not telling them, if not and do you have to state that you have a de cat, and does it put your insurance up alot?

no, nope dont have to say you have a de-cat, just say you have an aftermarket exhaust & it all depends on your insurer how much extra they add

Am I right in thinking that if you said you had a decat then they may ask if the MOT was carried out with or without the CAT. If it was with the CAT your emmisions may be too high resulting in your car not being road legal?

doesnt matter, if your car is made after 1992 & has had the cat removed it will not pass MOT anyhow

u dont need to tell the insurance that u have de-catted, they will just put it under aftermarket exhaust modification

iverpool victoria mine went up £36 with a body kit lowering alloys, they said that an exhaust isnt really classed as a modification and that it wouldnt effect the premium
