Was washing underneath the pick up when noticed a small leak at the rear diff. On closer inspection after cleaning off all the rust there is 3 pin holes where its corroded through and seeping out. Their all above the fill hole and oil level. For a temp fix tonight going to apply repair putty and give it a good coat of waxoyl and some hammerite to to prevent it getting worse
Is there anyway of fixing or repairing this or is it a case of a new rear axle?

Something similar I got today for a temp fix, unibond putty that sets in 7mins. Dads away to stick it on so see how it is. Holes are really small, just something to cover them and stop them seaping then A good coat of waxoyl and paint on top

I found that the best thing for this is drilling the pin holes out a tiny bit then using a self tapping screw with a thick rubber washer on it. Happened to the sump on a mk3 astra I had and that method lasted ages.
Depends if you've got enough good metal to work with.
