I've been offered a damaged and un-recorded 2010 (59 reg) in white for £6k.. Needs about £1k thrown at it to make it straight.
Its a 1.4 CVT ES so poverty spec.
Has anyone driven one of these, what are they like? I fancy another eco-warrier to replace my current work steed.

I used to drive a Civic Hybrid in work. Is it one of the ones that has electrically assisted acceleration, or one that can run on electric independantly?
If its the assisted acceleration, i'd personally avoid it. Its not massively quick and its very, very low as standard. I sometimes struggle over the speedbumps with two passengers.

I just checked actually. They only do the electrically assisted one. Avoid IMO.

Nothing really wrong with how the prius drives, just how it looks and how it's build

Well I've done some research and on paper its more expensive to run than my Megane.. How stupid is that? The only advantage I would see is the TAX is £10 a year rather than £30.. Other than that the insurance is almost double, it does slightly less MPG and its slower.

The prius is only averaging 46/47 these days, just to give you a ball park figure.

Not all are shit, but the Honda products (especially the Insight) is far from good.

107g/km for the Prius (89g/km for the new one), plus a rebate of some description for being 'green' make it far better than any similar sized diesel auto you can get. He gets personal fuel allowance as well.
