for a few years- he was unstoppable. Saw him play once, he must have ran about 20 miles in the game - no wonder his legs went.

15 goals at World Cups, a number of which when he was about 3 stone overweight

Never forget the night of the World Cup final in 98 (I think) and all the rumours about the pressure he was under to play by Nike when he had fainted and stuff. Have we ever heard the real story from that night yet?

It's never come to light. I remember watching it and nobody had a clue what was going on. A fit and with it Ronaldo would never have let France roll over them 3-0.
