I recently bought a T reg Focus, 5 door in blue, mint interior with a few tiny rust spots on the exterior as expected 100k, 9 months MOT and 5 months tax. £450 going for around double that at the minute. I needed a run around after I sold the 106 and an old boy at work was selling it ( I work for Ford ) so it's been looked after well. Anyway, show us your bargains, what have you got and where did you get it, and for how much?
I've decided to buy a cheap Corsa as a project as I've always wanted a c20LET so this is the plan, use the practical Focus as a daily and use the Corsa for fun at weekends or what ever. Have you managed to get any cheap as fook Corsas? There must be plenty of them out there

I haven't spent more than £400 buying a car to start with for a few years. Most of the time ive spent more money on the car after though.
Tigra with snapped cambelt, £150, Spent £250 on the engine and then sold it 6months later for £800, Nice profit in that.
Corsa Sport black £400 needing MOT, Done a bit of work and sold it for £900, Couple of hundred quid in it for me.
Corsa Sport Green, Bought to break it (See projects), cost me £240.
Nova 1.2 Miami blue, Bought with no mot/tax and had been sat for a while, £120, Completly mint it was.
Prob some others but cant be arsed now lol

£17 fucking hell that's ace, I'm watching a few on fleebay now, they don't even have to run as we could probably drive the flatbed down and it will be garaged until it was ready for a new engine anyway, would like a decent shell though.

Ohhh where to start....
MK3 Astra, Local lad selling it with 'big ends away' i went had a look he said it only started a few hundred mile after having the belts done, i put 2 & 2 together, concluded it needed a waterpump and took the gamble @ £300, £20 waterpump and a couple hours it was running sweet, sold it for £800,
Combat 2 Kitted Corsa - £300 with 10 days MOT, sold to my mate Rab 4 days later for £600, he then sold it on for £1200
Nova GSi, my mate bought it cheap off a local lad, it had been stood up for years, i gave him £80 as a non runner, found 2 broken wires and had it running in 3 hours, sold it to a mate for £400 to buy my Black XE, although i really wish i kept the Nova.
Black XE Corsa - £800 needed a box, fitted a £30 box, advertised at £2,000 - Got a
VTS & £400, sold VTS for £1400.
Corsa GSI (Caribic Blue) - £150, Stripped it got about £900 back.
Silver XE Corsa - Cost me £900 to buy car, engine, do conversion, got that back and a Corsa in P/X that i swapped a mate and sold his car for £750.
BMW 325i w/ M3 kit, Leather etc - Paid £700, advertised for £1900 and straight swapped for my 172.
Had a few other good purchases over time, i suppose
being a mechanic makes it easier to tidy up and move on cars.
Also know a lot of people locally so usually hear of such bargains.
