http://www.btcccrazy.co.uk/2011/02/16/f1-champs-brother-set-for-clio-cup/

Lewis Hamilton's little brother to race clio cup this year. He's shit hot at racing simulator games iirc, but not sure how well that'll translate to real world situations. Article doesn't really say what other racing he's done. Straight in to clio cup is baptism of fire territory!

Being good on a computer wont really matter, I used to be good on tomb Raider on the PS1, but that doesn't mean I'd be any good at trapping butlers in walk in freezers in real life.

Well that was a rather sad outcome.

Ben D, that's the name I couldn't think of. Should be interesting to see how it pans out, iirc some of the GT academy finalists didn't have driving licences.

Joking aside though I though he was seriously disabled, he always looked that way in the pits.

General Chat would have been the best bet.

In all seriousness it seems like nothing more than a publicity stunt, he is not fit to perform at the high end of motorsport by any stretch of the imagination.

I know that but why would that stop him, if he can drive then he can drive its not as if he is a "window licker"?

I wasn't referring to your question, was aimed at the question of whether he was disabled.

The window licker was a joke.

He has a physical disability which will restrict his ability to drive fast or react to situations.

Do you think he would have got a car if his brother wasn't Lewis Hamilton?

Some of the comments in here are so fucking ignorant. He's got Ceribal Palsy. That's all.

He has already tested the Clio and performed well enough to get a seat. The team wouldn't put him in the Clio Cup just for publicity. It's a bloody tough series.

He's also done alot of karting and is said to be fucking quick.

good on the lad but yes he has problems.

but that shouldn't stop him achieving his dreams.

as long as he doesn't end up crashing and killing someone then i see no problem with it? it's not your money.

I took a mate who has suffered from severe cerebral palsy for 30 years to football every weekend for 7 or 8 years. I know exactly what the condition is and what it means to the sufferer.

If Lewis Hamilton were not his brother he would not be racing in the Clio Cup series.
