Just bought another corsa 1.4 8v for the engine to put in my sxi 1.2 16v

Had a mechanic up today and has said that theres no chance of the wiring matching up as the pedal is electronic iirc :?

Anyone shed any light on this could everthing just be shifted over onto the sxi? :/

If you've bought the whole car you will have pretty much everything you need to drop it into your SXI.

The engine loom wont plug into your sxi dash loom though so you will either need to replace the dash loom or modifying it depending on how good you are at wiring, and what type of PAS setup you want etc.

The pedals aren't electronic though so nothing to worry about there

As said, Shit engine but if you want to do it, change the looms etc. Your also need a engine mount from a 1.4/1.6 16v.

Id personally break that and buy a 1.2 16v engine, Simply due to the fact the 1.4 will be SHIT.
