I'm looking at going abroad ASAP basically, however I've not travelled much so a bit naive! I want somewhere hot, where I can spend a week sunbathing, preferably around 30 degrees. Where is the best place to go for that kind of heat at this time of the year, or am I best waiting? My lost holiday was Tunisia which I loved and weather was great, however it's not safe to return there at the minute! Don't want to spend a fortune!
Any one been abroad who can advise on places to go and not to go?
Thank you

Places like Magaluf, Ibiza, etc have never appealed to me. Went to Ibiza once, granted we were at San Antonio but it was too loud and busy! Never been to Magaluf, I take it there are peaceful resorts?
Has anyone been to Turkey? Is the climate decent at the time of year? Heard some good things about holidays there

Magaluf is one small city. Alcudia is nice.

Narrowed it down to two resorts in Turkey; one in Antalya, one in Sarigerme....no idea what the areas are like

Yep anywhere at that end of the island is nice. To be honest pretty much all of Majorca is nice if you stay clear of Magaluf!

I'm presuming that all places in Egypt will use tap water to prepare food, make ice cubes etc. so doesn't really matter where you go, if your body can't hack the different minerals they have in their water you've had it regardless of where you are

Egypt isn't the safest place at the minute regardless of the food....

Still probably safer than Turkey though!!
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Been to Antalya twice, 2 weeks both times, couldn't really tell you what its like as I only left the hotel once, which was for about 30mins

canary islands are good value and safe right now.
iirc fuerterventura (sp) and grand canaria are hotter than tenerife as they are much closer to africa or something?

As ben said, i was looking at canaries not long ago, some good deals to be add and good wether too.
clubbing hotspots will not be noisey or anything this time of year as the season hasn't started yet.

Turkey is quality, the myths surrounding the place and the people turned out to be just that. Myths.
